DMSLC Seminar - Alberto Di Ronza, PhD

Wednesday May 24

Come join us in welcoming Alberto Di Ronza, PhD for the final DMSLC seminar of the semester! Dr. Di Ronza received his Ph.D. in Medical Genetics from the University of Naples "Federico II" in Italy, and was a postdoc at Baylor College of Medicine. In his doctoral studies, Dr. Di Ronza focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying lysosomal storage disorders. His work led to the discovery of the Transcription factor EB (TFEB), a master regulator of lysosomal biogenesis, and to the characterization of the molecular mechanism that leads to the development of Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 8 (NCL8). As a Medical Science Liaison, he serves as a bridge between the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare providers, ensuring access to the latest clinical and scientific information needed to make informed decisions about patient care.
