Project Tadpole strives to increase the accessibility of adaptive toys for children with disabilities through the application of engineering skills – creating an innovative and inclusive environment for adapted play.
Participate in weekly toy sessions to adapt toys for children with disabilities or repair donated toys.
Pass on your knowledge! Make tutorials, YouTube videos, blog posts, etc. to teach others how to modify and repair toys.
Plan community workshops and toy exchange events for educators, clinicians, and families in Durham.
Repair broken toys for children in the local community.
Research commercial toys that can be modified and given away in a community toy exchange.
Research potential student or community organizations. Propose, lead, and execute an initiative with them.
