About Us

Duke Cyber is sponsored by SOFC, the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy (AGS), Duke Tech Policy, and the Duke Office of Information Technology (OIT). Our mission is to provide informal interdisciplinary educational development to Duke students on technology topics; to cultivate a network of undergraduate and graduate students through speaker events, competitions, and social events; and to foster a greater understanding of the purpose, roles, and implications of 21st century technology. We are the proud home of Duke's competitive Cyber Policy and Cybersecurity Teams.

Two core arms:
The Club & The Team

The Club The Team
Duke Cyber Club is open to all undergraduate and graduate members of the Duke community and hosts monthly public events that facilitate awareness of cyber topics. Public events include open discussions, guest speakers, and the Cyber Cup, a Duke-hosted cyber competition. Duke Cyber Team is a competitive subset of the Club for students invested in the study and exploration of cyber issues. The Team hosts private weekly briefings with cyber experts, provides networking opportunities with industry figures, and participates in technical and policy-related cyber competitions.
The Cybersecurity Team competes in technical challenges such as the National Cyber League (NCL) and the National Collegiate Defense Competition (NCDC).
The Cyber Policy Team is nationally recognized in the Atlantic Council's Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge. Duke Cyber has the honor of sending at least two teams to the national cyber policy competition in Washington D.C. every Spring.
