About Us

Our mission is to foster a visible community of Native graduate/professional students as well as faculty and allies at Duke. We will provide a space for social and cultural activities, facilitate interdisciplinary scholarship and professional development, represent the concerns and goals of Native students at an institutional level, mentor and collaborate with DukeÔÇÖs Native undergraduates, participate in interinstitutional events, and build reciprocal relationships with off-campus Native communities. Holistically, our mission is supporting the network of Native graduate/professional students as well as Native cultures and interests at Duke. NAGPSA is affiliated with the Native American/Indigenous Student Alliance and will act as a partner organization to pursue the above shared goals.
